A double tile depicting the lovely black and white half- timber framed buildings of Chester, with the town clock appearing at the top of the tile. Chester is a city in northwest England, founded as a Roman fortress in the first century A.D. It's known for its extensive Roman walls made of local red sandstone. n the old city, the Rows is a shopping district distinguished by double level covered arcades and Tudor style half- timber black and white buildings. A Roman amphitheatre, with ongoing excavations, lies just outside the old city walls.
