Clay College
LEADING THE WAY IN STUDIO POTTERY
Our Mission:
Teaches practical pottery techniques to an international standard
Develops highly-skilled, self-sufficient and diverse makers
Aims to protect the renowned status of British studio ceramics
Clay College offers a skills-based, full-time ceramics course taught by potters who make a living through ceramics, something unique in the UK. The college runs a two-year full-time Diploma course for 14 students, with each year consisting of three 15-week terms.
Clay College also runs a number of short courses, masterclasses and Evening Classes which run throughout the year.
The Clay College Gallery is open Tuesday - Saturday 11am-3pm, where it hosts selling exhibitions of internationally renowned potters, themed to match the curriculum so that students can see, handle and sell the pots they aspire to make. As a not-for-profit organisation any sales in the Gallery help to support the work we do.
