Albert, a plump and arrogant pelican who is a leading culinary expert. His beak has a pinkish tint due to excess of wine. He looks a bit frazzled. A martin Brothers inspired grotesque sculpture of a wally bird made in high fired stoneware, by Burslem pottery designed by Andrew Hull. Martin Brothers produced pottery between 1873 and1914, Martinware was described as art pottery, one of the earliest potteries making this, but in modern terms they fit better into studio pottery which was invented later.
