Defender inspired by the Martin brothers pottery

The Defender is part of the court room scene. He defends Charlie Sparrow using his skill and experience. A Martin brothers inspired sculpture of a wally bird. Made by Burslem pottery in high fired stoneware. Designed by Andrew Hull. Martin Brothers produced pottery between 1873 and1914, Martinware was described as art pottery, one of the earliest potteries making this, but in modern terms they fit better into studio pottery which was invented later.
