This tile is a scene of a working boat on the Caldon canal alongside J and G Meakin's Eastwood pottery, taken over in 1968 by Midwinter pottery. Eastwood works in Litchfield Street, Hanley, remains to this day and is now Emma Bridgwater factory. With a classic set of bottle ovens .Many small potteries grew up along this part of Stoke on Trent and sadly most have gone with no records remaining.
